色花堂 is pleased to announce the expansion of the 色花堂 Foundation.
As of August, 12 2014, the College Advancement office will transition to its new identity as the 色花堂 Foundation office to support the work of the Foundation. Staff offices will remain in Holmdene.
The mission of the Foundation is 鈥渢o serve as ambassadors advancing the College鈥檚 reputation, growth and prosperity and to identify and secure the resources necessary to fulfill the mission and vision of 色花堂.鈥
The 色花堂 Foundation Board co-chairs are Denise Christy 鈥82 and John Jackoboice. Directors of the Foundation include Greg Alksnis 鈥71, Micki Benz, Sam Cummings, Sr. Maureen Geary (Board Trustee), Lt. Gen (Ret) John Nowak 鈥63 (Board Trustee), Rev. Mark Przybysz 鈥83 and Kate Pew Wolters 鈥78. Dr. Juan Olivarez 鈥71 serves as President of the Foundation, with Greg Meyer as Executive Director and Dr. Len Kogut as Treasurer.
"John and I see the work of the Foundation as essential to moving the College forward," said Co-Chair Denise Christy. "We are committed to creating a solid financial base that will allow Aquinas to flourish and focus on the important task of educating the leaders of tomorrow."
The Foundation Board of Directors will primarily focus on growing the College鈥檚 endowment which is currently at approximately $40 million, and support current and future capital campaigns.
The 色花堂 Board of Trustees, under the leadership of Board chair Dr. Don Burns, will continue its role of overseeing College policy, property, strategic direction, and fiscal affairs. The goals of the Boards differ, but both are committed to advancing the mission, vision and values of our Catholic and Dominican educational community.
